Dynamic QR code generator for print
Print your QR code once. Change where it goes whenever you like, and see how many people scan it. Free for 3 months, no card.
Your printed codes never stop working, even if you don’t stay.
Try it: one printed code, any link
Type a link, then change it. The code you would print stays exactly the same.
The printed code: it never changes
Example only: scanning it opens this page. Your real code holds a short link like go.trackflyer.com/q/a8Kd2xQ1 and is made when you sign up.
What a dynamic QR code is
A normal (static) QR code stores your full link inside the dots. Once it’s printed, that link is fixed for good. If the page moves or has a typo, every flyer is dead.
A dynamic QR code stores a short link instead, like go.trackflyer.com/q/a8Kd2xQ1. When someone scans it, TrackFlyer counts the scan and sends them on to your page. You can change that page any time, and the printed code keeps working.
Short links also need fewer dots, so dynamic codes stay clean and easy to scan when printed small. Check yours with the QR code size checker.
How to create a dynamic QR code
- Sign up free. Use Google, or an email address you confirm. No card.
- Pick what the code opens: a website, a phone call, WhatsApp, a text message, an email or a map location.
- Make it yours: colours, dot shape, your logo and a “Scan me” frame. The page shows the smallest safe print size as you go.
- Download it. PDF for your printer, PNG for phone and web, SVG for designers.
- Print one and scan it with your phone, then print the rest. To change the link later, open the code, type the new link and save.
Made for things you print
Anything that stays out in the world for weeks or years is worth a dynamic code, because offers, prices and pages change.
What you see when people scan
- Scans by day, and how this week compares with the week before.
- The towns and countries scans come from, on a map. Places are approximate, worked out from the phone’s network, never from GPS.
- The phones and the apps used to scan.
- The hours and days people scan most.
- An email when a code gets its first scan, and a short summary every Monday. You can turn both off.
To compare areas, give each area its own code. For mail, TrackFlyer can make one code per USPS carrier route, so you see which streets answered. See how route tracking works.
Free for 3 months, and your codes never stop
Some QR makers switch dynamic codes off when a free trial ends, so codes already on flyers and signs stop working. TrackFlyer doesn’t do that.

Frequently asked questions
Is this dynamic QR code generator free?
Yes, for 3 months from the day you sign up, with no card. You can make up to 20 dynamic codes while founding membership is open and see every scan. After 3 months, changing links, stats and new codes cost $4 a month billed yearly, or $10 month to month.
What happens to my printed codes after the 3 free months?
They keep working. Scans still go to the last link you set. Only changing the link, seeing stats and making new codes need the paid plan.
Can I change where a QR code goes after printing?
Yes, if it’s a dynamic code. Open the code in TrackFlyer, type the new link and save. The printed code stays the same. A static code can’t be changed.
Can I turn a static QR code into a dynamic one?
No. The link is printed inside a static code. Make a new dynamic code and reprint once. After that, a new link never needs a reprint.
What can a dynamic QR code open?
A website, a phone call, WhatsApp, a text message, an email or a map location. Not a WiFi login: the network name and password have to sit inside the code itself, so use a static WiFi code for that.
Do people see an ad or a waiting page when they scan?
No. Codes saved in your account go straight to your link, and TrackFlyer shows no ads.
How do I track scans of a dynamic QR code?
Every scan is counted for you: by day and hour, by town and country (approximate, from the phone’s network), and by phone and scanning app. To compare places, give each place its own code.
What file do I give my printer?
The PDF. PNG is for phones and websites, SVG is for designers. Print one copy and scan it before you print many.
How small can I print a dynamic QR code?
Most flyers and postcards need at least 1 to 1.2 inches. Signs read from further away need more. The QR code size checker gives the size for your distance.
