What to put in a birthday invitation message
- Whose birthday it is, and the age if they are happy to share it.
- Day, date and start time. Add an end time for kids’ parties.
- The place, with an address or a map link.
- How to reply, and by when.
- Anything guests need to know: dress code, food, gifts or no gifts, parking, allergies.
- For a surprise: the arrival time, and a reminder to keep it secret.
Send it as one link with RSVP
A text is fine for five friends. For more guests, send one link. TrackFlyer makes a free birthday invitation page with the details, a map, a countdown, calendar buttons and an RSVP form that counts the replies for you. Paste the link at the end of any message above.

What do you write in a birthday invitation text?
Whose birthday it is, the day, date and time, the place, and how to reply by when. Keep it short and put the link to the details last, so the preview shows.
How far ahead should you send a birthday invitation?
Two to three weeks for most parties, three to four weeks for kids’ parties, and four to six weeks for big milestone parties or anything people travel to. Send a reminder one or two days before.
Is it OK to invite people to a birthday by text or WhatsApp?
Yes, for most birthdays. For a formal milestone dinner, send a link to a proper invitation page, or paper invitations with a QR code, so it feels like an event.
How do I ask guests to RSVP in a birthday message?
Give a reply-by date and one way to answer. A link with yes and no buttons gets more replies than “let me know”, and you do not have to count replies in a group chat.
How do I say no gifts on a birthday invitation?
Keep it warm and short: “Your company is the only gift we need” or “No gifts please, just come and celebrate.”
