What to ask your guests
Ask only what you will use. Each extra question makes replying slower. The reply form always asks for each guest's name, yes, maybe or no, how many are coming and which parts of the day they will join. Add any of these as your own questions, as a choice or a short answer, and you get a count for each choice:
- Ceremony, reception, or both?
- How many in your party, up to the seats on your invitation
- Meal choice and any allergies
- Do you need a hotel room or a ride?
- A song that will get you on the dance floor
When to send it
Send save the dates six to eight months ahead, longer for a destination wedding. Send the invitation six to eight weeks before, and set the reply date three to four weeks before the day so you have time to give the caterer final numbers.
Paper invitations with a QR code
Put the code on the invitation card or a small insert. Guests who love paper keep the card, guests who live on their phone scan and reply in seconds, and you see how many have opened it. How RSVP QR codes work.
Make your wedding invitation free
One link with the details, a map, calendar buttons and RSVP that adds up the replies for you. Print the QR code on paper invitations too. No ads, no fee.
